Mixed Beverage Tax Allocation Comparison Summary Reports present data about mixed beverage tax allocation payments to cities and counties where businesses remit taxes on the sale of alcoholic beverages. The reports compare current calendar year mixed beverage tax payments with the previous calendar year's payments.
The allocation payment reflects the portion of the Mixed Beverage Taxes allocated to the cities and counties each month.
Prior to the October 2011 allocation, the Texas Comptroller allocated 10.7143 percent of the mixed beverage tax to counties and cities.
From October 2011 through July 2013, the allocation rate was reduced to 8.3065 percent. In October 2013, however, the rate returned to 10.7143 percent.
