State law requires manufacturers and distributors of off-highway vehicles (OHVs) who are licensed by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) to file an annual off-highway vehicle warranty (OHVW) report.
The OHVW report is due by March 1 of each year, and it must include warranty information for new OHVs purchased out-of-state that are warrantied in Texas.

You must still file a report showing no activity even if you did not warranty any new OHVs in Texas during the reporting period (previous calendar year).
You must file an OHVW report online using the Off-Highway Vehicle Warranty (OHVW) Report – Visual Guide (PDF), Form 01-269, Off-Highway Vehicle Warranty (OHVW) Report Format (PDF), and the Comptroller eSystems.
To file your OHVW Report, visit the Comptroller’s website and select the Webfile – eSystems Login.
From the eSystems menu, select Off-Highway Vehicle Warranty Report and follow the instructions to file your warranty report.
Your annual OHVW report must include a separate line-item entry providing the OHV warranty information for each vehicle sold in the previous calendar year by a retailer outside the state of Texas to a customer who warranties the vehicle within Texas. Each entry must include the following:

The report is due annually on March 1 of the year following the reporting period. For example, warranty activity for calendar year 2021 is due by March 1, 2022. If the due date falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the report will be due on the next business day.
