The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program is designed to assist states, local governments and Tribes in implementing strategies to reduce energy use, reduce fossil fuel emissions and improve energy efficiency. More than $4 million dollars in funding will be put toward the EECBG Program by the State Energy Conservation Office. Eligible municipally owned buildings include government-owned public meeting areas such as activity centers, recreational facilities, pavilions, parks, libraries and event centers that serve as emergency shelters during disasters.
Allowable improvements include one or more of the following items:
