Scholarships available for: immediate dependents, including spouse, of any aircrew member of the US Armed Forces who is listed in KIA or MIA status from any combat situation involving our military since the Vietnam Era. In addition, immediate dependents of military aircrew members killed while performing military aircrew duties on a non-combat mission and those of current members and deceased River Rats who were in good standing at the time of their death are now eligible for scholarship assistance. Also, any student majoring in the fields of aviation or space is eligible to apply for consideration (kinship not required).
Selection based on financial need, demonstrated academic achievement, college entrance examinations, and accomplishments in school, church, civic, and social activities. Funds are released to college of choice to satisfy tuition, fees, books, room and board. Award amount will be determined by the student's demonstrated need, available funding, and priorities established by the RRVA and administered by the Scholarship Committee. INELIGIBLE APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT APPLY. Application available for submission between February 15 - May 15.
