The Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution (TXDAR), and local DAR Chapters have established their own scholarship programs. Some are at different universities throughout the state of Texas, which are administered by the specific institution through the Financial Aid Office. Information regarding local DAR Chapter scholarships can be obtained by contacting your local DAR Chapter.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of degrees in diverse disciplines including political science, history, government, economics, law, nursing and education. Specific scholarship categories such as the American Indian Scholarships are also offered. Qualified applicants will be considered regardless of race, religion, sex or national origin.

Awards will be based on academic merit, commitment to their field of study and financial need. No affiliation with DAR is necessary unless specified.

All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance at an accredited college or university in the US. See website for exceptions, more specific requirements and application mailing address.

NOTE: The DAR Scholarship Committee does NOT process the DAR Good Citizens Awards, American Indian Scholarships, DAR School or State Scholarships (see website for more information).

Separate applications must be submitted for each scholarship. All applications and documents must be submitted on or before the deadline, through the National DAR Scholarship Committee website, dar.academicworks.com
