A good career is important for a person's life. For me, my chosen career is being a medical doctor. I understand that it would take lot of hard work and years of training, but I strongly believe benefits and opportunities would justify the effort.
Both of my grandpas died of lung cancer after months of suffering from the diseases. Within weeks after receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatment, they lost most of their physical strength, spirit, and also ...their hairs. One of my grandpa could not even walk on his own during the last month of his life. Being a medical doctor would give me an opportunity to care for these patients, and hopefully, find a cure for their diseases.
I know it is not easy to become a doctor. It not only require a student to complete grade school and college with good grade point average, but also to score high on the Medical College Admission Test to get into a medical school. After basic medical training, there are residency, internship, and more. The journey will be long, but with determination and perseverance, I believe it can be done. My approach is to actively preparing for my future career by being the best student I can be each grade level I am at.
To learn more about the career of a medical doctor, I researched available articles online about the subject. In high school, I plan to volunteer to work in various medical settings such as private clinic or hospital to understand more about the profession of medicine.
Being a medical doctor is one of my life missions. In my heart, I truly believe it's a worthy one.
