Jaclyn – future actress

Everyone has a big dream, or a special goal or career they would like to reach when they get older. My big dream is to one day become an actress. I've always been interested in acting and musical theater since I was very small. I am young but have performed in a play in front of thousands of people, dance recitals, and have sung on stage many times. Being on stage with all the bright lights and microphones is amazing. When I'm on stage for a performance it feels like I'm floating. Being an actress would be a dream career for me because acting allows me to express my feelings and emotions. It takes a lot of hard work to learn the script, and stage positioning but it is fun to really engage the audience during a performance. Acting can teach you important lessons and allows you to see someone else's perspective. My absolute favorite part of acting is that you get to use your imagination and creativity to become a different person and bring joy to the audience.

A big dream like this is going to take a lot of hard work. To me, the key to achieving my goal is confidence, perseverance, a good education, and training. My plan to succeed is very simple, but needs lots of dedication, hard work, and focus. The first step is to start out small and participate in every opportunity I get in school plays or small shows. As I get older, I will start auditioning more often and attend a good college. This scholarship would benefit me so much by helping to cover college fees. I want to attend a college with good professors who can teach me new skills to improve my acting. A good education will give me a bigger background of knowledge to become a better actress. My plan is very ambitious, but I believe I can have a bigger and brighter future as an actress if I work hard at it with the correct preparation.
