Donovan – future NBA player

My name is Donovan. My dream is to make the NBA. I have already written an essay on making the NBA, so I'm here to show you what I've learned.

On average, a college player has a 1.3 percent chance to make the NBA. A high school basketball player has a 2.9 percent chance to make it to college ball. I feel like a good enough player to overcome these odds, but I can't tell you what the future holds.

As a matter of a fact, I am going to a Nike basketball training camp. I am learning new ways to help me get better. I am learning ways to "cut" to the basket. I also learned the proper way to jab step and the difference between a jab step and a cross step. I've learned that to be successful you have to have a good attitude to overcome your problems. Going to this basketball camp, I feel like this experience is going to help me in life and at basketball.

The average salary of a NBA player is 4.9 million dollars. Being a basketball player would help me be able to help out my family and my parents. With me making that much money, some of the left over money would be for charity. Just to name some places:

St. Jude's
Salvation Army
ASPCA

I would donate to these places because I believe that they're good organizations, and I would be helping out the world.

In closing, I love basketball and even if I don't make the NBA I'm going to go overseas to find a league that I make. I have been learned so much in the past year, and I just wanted to share it with you guys.
