Everyone has some idea of what they want to become in the future. People with a college education and a career become more successful and helpful to the community, and I want to be one of them. An important thing to consider when choosing a career is picking something enjoyable.

I want to become an accountant because I find math interesting and it is fun working with numbers. I want to become one so I can help people have accurate finances. I will be able to further develop my skills and interest in math into a career by going to college and learning more about business.

Accountants examine financial information, like taxes and payments, and check them for accuracy. They also assist businesses by calculating and suggesting ways to minimize costs and increase profits.

To become an accountant, you need at least a bachelor's degree in accounting. Furthermore, the skills and knowledge needed to perform this job are numerous. For example, some of the requirements include computer and electronics abilities, reading comprehension, reasoning, and effective communication. I believe I demonstrate these skills well.

This job is expected to grow 11% in the next 10 years, which means there will be more opportunities to enter this line of career. The median salary of an accountant is $67,190 a year. However, the salary is not solely the reason why I want to be an accountant, but instead because I know it is something that I will enjoy doing.
