My Photojournalism Career

Anthony – future photojournalist

Hello, My name is Anthony,

The career I'm interested in pursuing is photojournalism. I started to gain interest in this career when I saw photographers taking amazing, one shot action pictures at sporting events that may never be forgotten. Another exciting thing about this career is getting to be close to athletes in action at the highest levels. But more than anything, I like telling the stories behind a great picture. And thats what photojournalism is about.

The first step I took towards finding more about this career was interviewing an adult that worked in a similar profession (News Station). What I learned is that I should pursue a bachelor's degree in photojournalism. Eventually in order to succeed, I would need experience in the field as well. While getting my degree, I would begin many projects, which would also help my experience. Another great thing about this career is that I would get many opportunities in the future because the world will always need up to the minute news and great pictures. These are things I will be trained in delivering, and it will be the most exciting thing ever to have a career in what I love.
