I love math because it has always come easy to me. I would like to become a math teacher someday because I understand math very well and I feel I can teach math to kids in the future.
Currently, I am taking advanced classes. In high school, I will take as many advanced classes that I can to prepare me for college, where I know I will need to earn a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics to begin my career as a future teacher.
My other possible career path I might want to pursue is becoming a computer programmer. This career requires a Computer Science degree with many math classes as well. My love for math and my strong ability of math will provide the foundation of my career path.
I do need to work on my communication skills to become a teacher. I am not good at public speaking and I am very shy. I am considering taking speech and communication classes to help me with my speaking skills. In addition to have already learned sign language, I plan on taking Spanish classes so that I can become a bilingual math teacher to help Spanish-speaking children. This additional education will also help me with my speaking ability and will help me become more confident to teach.
I hope to become a math teacher or a computer programmer after college with my career path I have chosen.
