When I get an education, I want to become a 4th grade teacher, because many people struggle in 4th grade. I had a really good 4th grade teacher who helped me, and made the class so interesting. It would take a lot of effort and training, but it leads to a better job.
The first step to becoming a 4th grade teacher is to graduate from high school and get your degree. It would help to get work experience with kids, like working at a day care or after school program. Now, earn a Bachelor's degree in Education from a University. When your Bachelor's degree is almost finished, you have to student teach in a real classroom. After this step, you will take a hard test to get your teacher certification. I would like to teach in a public school.
The U.S. Census Bureau estimates in 2030 there will be 33 million people living in Texas. (Right now, we have 25 million people in Texas.) This means there will be more houses and schools built, and Texas will need many more teachers.
I talked to my parents about how to become a 4th grade teacher, because they are both teachers and know the steps on how to become a teacher. I also talked to my after school teacher who is currently in college studying education. She said college is very expensive and hard, and it requires many skills and effort.
I appreciate the teachers I have had in my life so far. This is how and why I would want to become a 4th grade teacher.
