Hi, my name is Lyla and I love math. I like solving problems and working with numbers. I think a career in which I could use math would be fun. When searching for careers that use a lot of math I found mathematician. After reading about this career I think I would be interested in this. I have always done well in math at school.
Mathematicians use high levels of mathematics like physics, algebra, and statistics. These forms of math are used to develop new principles to solve every day problems. These problems could be in areas of technology, like in making a cell phone or a new computer, or in phone or cable systems. Engineering also uses math to make equipment, products, or drugs to help in the advancements of medicine. In aerospace engineering they use math to help make equipment for the space station. High levels of math are also used in scientific research in the form of statistics and in business in the form of finance. These are just a few examples of the many opportunities available to use math.
To become a mathematician I would need a graduate degree in mathematics to get the best position. This means getting a bachlors and then a masters degree in mathematics.
I learned about become a mathematician on the internet. I found several websites helpful in explaining the importance of math and how this is used everyday and in many different careers.
