The profession that begins others- Teaching

Vibrant. Caring. Exciting. These are only some of the words that people say when they describe me. Being someone who loves to inform and educate others, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher. An example could be in Boy Scouts. I have always enjoyed teaching younger scouts how to make a fire, make knots, and much more from what the adults would ask me to do. Recently this year, I took a speech class, and I found that I was less worried speaking in front of people, helping me to not stutter and sway. I have always liked to be the "center-of-attention." However, I am very considerate of everybody. For example- If a scout is having trouble with something, I would always help him out, even if it was something that I found was very easy. I also found that I have lots of vocal power, which could be helpful so I can express my voice to a large crowd. I would love to go to Harvard and take the Teacher Education Program, and also attend the Doctor of Education Leadership academic program class. The "Ed.L.D" integrates the fields of education, business, and public policy in visionary ways, allowing access for students (like me) to other professional resources at Harvard. None of this will be easy to accomplish but I know I will do everything I can to complete every class. Teaching is something that I love to do, and I hope that I can pursue that dream for the rest of my life.
