When I'm older, I want to become a cardiac surgeon because I think Biology is a complex and intriguing subject to study. These surgeons work with the circulatory system which includes the heart, blood, blood vessels, and the lungs. However, this occupation requires specific education and training. Firstly, I must graduate from high school with a high score on my SAT's doing particularly well in Biology, Physiology, Chemistry, and Physics. Then, I have to get my bachelor's degree by spending 4 years in college studying pre-medical coursework. After that, I am required to take the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) to attend medical school where I would study Anatomy, Biochemistry, Psychology, and Medical Ethics for 4 years. Next, I need to graduate with either a M.D. or D.O. and participate in a residency program for 3-8 years under supervision of professionals. Then, I must get a license from state and choose which field to specialize in. Lastly, I would either join a hospital or start my own practice. Right now, I read books that specialize in Biology. Sometimes I look on the news to know if they have discovered any new microorganisms or diseases. Even my parents provide explanations and treatments to some diseases. Many opportunities are present to this job. If someone is unhealthy, they must come for advice or help. After all, people cannot function without proper health. Stronger people mean a stronger world!
