In the future, I wish to be a software designer. The main reason I want to become a software designer is I'm interested in electronics and video games. I've been playing video games for a while now and I've wondered how they worked. Now that I am taking a technology class and understanding how they work, I want to design my own programs. I may not know much about programming now, but I intend on taking the path to learning more about it.
Over the next ten years we will need to produce many software developers. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are predicted to be thousands of job openings in computer occupations.
The first step I'm taking to become a software designer is going to a magnet program, which is teaching me more about computers. Later, I hope to go to the magnet program in high school to learn even more about computers.
I need to take many computer classes in order to reach my goal and also I would need to take math like algebra II, calculus, and geometry in high school. I am taking a pre-AP GT math class this year, which is a good start. Also, this is my first year of taking multimedia to teach me more about computers. I would also need a college degree in computer science and do personal research in addition to my classes.
In conclusion, I want to become a software designer because I like technology and video games. The road to becoming a software designer will be hard, but it will be worth it when I am creating my own gaming software!
