The Steps To Reach My Goal

My goal in life is to become a Medical Doctor specializing in pediatrics. My interest started when I was 5 years old. Each time I would go to my doctors appointment with my mom, I had got very interested in the equipments the doctor had used to examine me, so I started to ask a lot of questions on what each equipment was used for. My pediatrician was always quick to answer all questions that I asked.

I started developing an interest in the 5th grade for science, I had a great science teacher who encouraged me that I can always strive to be the best in all I do. I started working very hard to become the best. I made very high grades in school and studied very hard.

Also I started to research what education or training I would need for being a Medical Doctor. I went to the library with my mother to research about this career online. While researching about this career online, I found out that for me to get admitted into Medical School, I will need one year of Biology, one year of Physics, one year of English and two years of Organic Chemistry and I will have to take the MCAT and would have to pass the test in order to achieve my goal. I also found out while researching on this field with my mother, that there are limited women in this profession in the U.S.A. However there is a great demand for jobs in the Medical Fields in the future.

There are mostly men in this profession. This means based on statistics, more women are needed for this kind of profession in future.

My mother has been a great inspiration for me, she has encouraged me and has been a great role model for me. My Mother has always told me that I can achieve anything I want to.

I have worked very hard and I make very high grades and also participate in a lot of extra-curricular activities. I am on the Broadcasting Club and on the School step team. I play the Viola and also when I am not at school, I am at the Volleyball practice. I do great in all this activities.

I hope to achieve this goals in future to become a Medical Doctor. I would also like to open up a Charity that would help those in need. I am hoping that with my interest in this career, I will be awarded this scholarship to help me reach my goal.
