I would like to be a Pre-K or Kindergarten teacher. I am around kids a lot and always have lots of fun when I'm around them. Little kids are interested in and get excited about so many things. I could create a fun, encouraging environment in the class room.
When I was in third grade I had a very sweet teacher. She was a very fun, loving, and giving teacher. Around the middle of that year in her class, I was inspired to be a great teacher just like her! She always read to us and made us feel like we could do anything!
I talked to my teachers and family, visited some Career Websites, and read some publications at University websites to learn about the requirements necessary to be a Kindergarten or Pre-K teacher. I learned that I will need a Bachelor's Degree and "hands on" training, like doing an internship at a local school. As an intern, I will get real experience working with students in a classroom. When I'm in high school I hope to be a Teacher's Aide for one of the Pre-K or Kindergarten classes. When I'm close to completing my degree in Education, I will be able to be a student teacher!
While talking with my teachers and family about what I want to do in the future, they all advised that if I work hard, I can accomplish anything. I plan to follow their sacred advice so that hopefully, one day, I will be the adult teacher giving advice to my own students.
