Select Goods and ServicesCMBL/HUB Registration

The National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) developed the NIGP Commodity and Services Coding System to bring efficiency to automated purchasing. Each item purchased by the State of Texas is assigned an NIGP Class-Item code.

  1. Select a class code from the drop-down menu. Choose the general description closest to the commodity or service you can provide.
  2. Select Add Items for this Class You will see items which belong to that class.
  3. Check the boxes next to all items appropriate for your company.
  4. Select Accept Codes

If you are done, select Continue.

If you wish to add more classes and items, repeat the four steps above.

Vendors should only select class and item codes closest to the actual products and/or services they can provide. If you need help identifying which class and item codes are applicable to your company, contact us.
